VITEEE 2022- Admission Process
The admission process at VIT is very easy and quick. The admission process is done by following the several steps that are mentioned below:
- Candidates should apply for the admission process by filling the application form.
- CBT (Computer Based Test) is conducted by the examination board for the selection procedure.
- Selected candidates will be called for counseling based on their ranks.
- Candidates may select the program (the branches of their choices) and the campus they want to go.
- After paying the fees the admission process is completed and candidates can join the classes.
- It is mandatory that the students have original and genuine documents during the time of joining.
VITEEE 2022– Eligibility Criteria
Before you start applying for VITEEE, you must confirm your eligibility to appear for it. The management of VITEEE have set a few benchmarks for the justification of candidate’s eligibility for taking the exam, which include: –

Nationality
Candidates should satisfy the following nationality criteria to appear in the VITEEE.
- Resident of India
- Non-Resident Indian National (NRI)
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
Age Limit
Another criteria to fill the eligibility to appear in the VITEEE is the age limit, candidates born on or after July 1, 1998 are eligible to appear in the exam. There are other norms to that the candidates should obey:
- The date of birth (DOB) recorded in the high school/senior secondary school/class 10 board examinations are considered as final.
- At the time of counseling it is mandatory to show the certificate of original identity proof of their age that is a board mark sheet, birth certificate, aadhar card, etc. If they are unable to show the same then they will be disqualified.
- They must have completed the age of 17 years as of July 1, 2022.
Qualifying Examination
Candidates applying for VITEEE UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2022, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
- The final examination of the Class 12 conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi
- Intermediate or 2 year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva - General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level
- As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE.
- Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply
Note: Candidate should have the original copy of the 12th board mark-sheet, migration cum transfer certificate at the time of joining.
Eligibility Criteria for the Qualifying Examination
- For unreserved category: Candidates applying for the UG engineering admission in VITEEE should secure minimum aggregate of 55% in PCM(physics, chemistry & mathematics)/PCB(physics, chemistry & biology)in the qualifying examination (+2 or intermediate)
- For reserved category: Candidates applying for the UG engineering admission in VITEEE should secure minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM(physics, chemistry & mathematics)/PCB(physics, chemistry & biology)in the qualifying examination (+2 or intermediate)
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh and North-Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Sikkim).
Note: CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
Subject Eligibility
- Candidates having studied Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry in +2 / Higher Secondary Board are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programs
- Candidates having studied Biology/Physics/Chemistry in +2/ Higher Secondary Board are eligible for the following Bio stream programs only.
- B.Tech. Bio-engineering(VIT-Bhopal)
- B.Tech. Biotechnology(VIT, Vellore)
- B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Bioinformatics(VIT, Vellore)
- B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Specialization in Health Informatics) (VIT-Bhopal)
Note: For students of biology stream, it is mandatory to register for a bridge course in Mathematics.
